BioBlitz! events

The National Geographic Society describes BioBlitz! events as an opportunity to bring volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers, and other community members work together to find and identify as many species of plants, animals, microbes, fungi, and other organisms as possible. This year, NGS is working with the National Park Service to promote biodiversity through 24 hour BioBlitz! events across the nation.

The Ohio Geographic Alliance is currently planning for 3 BioBlitz events in Ohio, open to the public. We encourage families, school groups, teachers, civic organizations and anyone interested in geography and biodiversity to take part.
